Selling a home in San Francisco can be a daunting task especially when you don’t live in California. Our aunt passed away in 2009 leaving us with a beautiful home in the Avenues. As she owned this home since the 1940’s there was a bit of refurbishing to be done to make it ready for sale.
Armed with flyers from many realtors, we narrowed the field and interviewed five. Mr. Rock was the fifth applicant. He blew the doors off all of the other realtors. Not only would he bring his sales skills to the table, he was able to recommend skilled workmen (painters, floor refinishers, glass installers, arborist and even a locksmith). Pat also gave us tours of the other listings he was updating. Once the estate yard sale was over, a charity he recommended collected all the remaining items. The charity was able to dispose of all useable and non-useable items.
In order to better show the home, Pat recommended a staging agent. Jackie was immediately on the job with paint swatches and furniture recommendations. Painters were next. The paint crew was the cleanest crew we have ever worked with. They even kept a table in the garage for their lunch breaks. As the project progressed, Pat kept us informed with photos, estimates and critiques of the work being done.
When all the refurbishing was complete, (on time and on budget), Jackie completed the staging with the dining table set for dinner, beds made, towels hung in the bathroom and even little guest soaps. The house was ready to have a family move right in.
Working with the Probate Court of San Francisco made for a few interesting days with additional hoops to jump through but with Pat’s expertise and always going the extra mile, the house sold at just over the asking price in record time.
